Guinness World Records Day is celebrated today and it is an opportunity to remember the most famous records, such as the tallest building or man in the world, but also the recent Italian pearls… VIDEO.

Guinness Book of Records 2019: here are the made in Italy records

Today in the world is Guinness World Records Day, the day that celebrates world records in the most diverse disciplines, rigorously certified by the organization Guinness World Records, that every year it examines about 50 requests (accepting six thousand) from 174 countries around the world. On this occasion, the new Guinness World Records 2020 volume is also presented, which includes all the most recent records, many of which see Italy as the protagonist (and always in the name of good food...).

A 430 kilo profiterole

In September 2019, for example, Latina entered the Guinness Book of Records thanks to a 430-kilo profiterole. The spoon dessert was set up with nine thousand cream puffs, two hundred kilos of Chantilly cream and two hundred kilos of chocolate icing. Beat the previous Airola Swiss record of 253 kilos, set in March 2019.

The largest zeppola di San Giuseppe in the world

A total of about 84 kilos for over a meter in diameter: it is the largest zeppola di San Giuseppe in the world made in Naples on the occasion of Father's Day 2019. Author of the record-breaking dessert is chef Stefano Avellano, who entered the Guinness World Record also thanks to the coverage made with 25 kilos of cream and black cherries.

Browse from Guinness to Bologna

Another record in the kitchen and another Italian record. This is the 120-metre sheet rolled out with a rolling pin at Fico Eataly World, the food theme park in Bologna, in May 2019. The record maker was a "dream team" of egg pasta from 10 regions.

The longest tiramisu in the world is from Milan

For another record-breaking dessert, we always stay in Italy: in fact, the longest tiramisu in the world, made in March 2019, is from Milan. It measures 273,5 meters and was prepared by 30 pastry chefs, with 50 ladyfingers for a total of 15 portions .

The largest panettone in the world

Milan is once again the protagonist of the Guinness World Records with its largest panettone in the world, prepared in December 2018: a diameter of 115 centimeters and one and a half meters in height. It took over 100 hours of work to make it.

The longest pizza in the world

During the "Union makes pizza" event, 250 chefs gathered on the Naples seafront conquered the record for the longest pizza ever made in the world, reaching 1.853,88 metres. To reach the primacy it took 2.000 kg of flour, 1.600 kg of tomatoes, 2.000 kg of fiordilatte and 200 liters of olive oil.

The Hall of Fame

Beyond the recent made in Italy performances, the Guinness World Records website also maintains the list of the most "significant" records. For example, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is confirmed as the tallest building in the world with its 828 meters of height; Turkish Sultan Kösen is the tallest man on the planet (251 cm!); the Austrian Felix Baumgartner to break the sound barrier in free fall, parachuting from an altitude of 38,969.4 meters. And then, there's the record holder of record holders: New Yorker Ashrita Furman he established 600 records in his life, and of these he still holds 200.

  1. is there a record of the person who has had more degrees of judgment in a process? I would like to participate with 12 degrees in the same process and for 13 years lived without documents in a foreign country
