The FS group sees growth in EBITDA and passengers transported in the first half of the year. The net result is decreasing

Fs Group: growing half-yearly. The Pnrr pushes investments to 6,6 billion (+64,2%)

The semi-annual Fs closes with all the main ones economic margins improving compared to the first half of 2022. The Board of Directors of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, chaired by the President Nicoletta Giadrossi, approved the half-yearly financial report relating to the consolidated half-year to 30 June 2023. The company communicates this.

Specifically, compared to the same period last year, the EBITDA of the group led by the CEO Luigi Ferraris grows by 7,4% (to 974 million euros) and Ebit of 18,2% (at 99 million euros). Driving the good performance of FS, the strong recovery in the number of passengers transported which return to settle at pre-Covid-19 pandemic levels. I also grow operating revenue which reach 7,1 billion euros (+15,8% compared to the first half of 2022).

Thanks also to the impulse of PNRRinvestments recorded a strong increase, in particular, in the Infrastructure Hub, reaching 6,6 billion euros (+64,2% compared to the first half of 2022). There net financial positionfurthermore, it is equal to 9,7 billion euros (it was equal to 7,6 billion euros at the end of 2022) and the Net income for the period is equal to +4 million euros (-91,4% compared to the first half of 2022).
