New Infopoint of the Italian Railway Network (FS group) at the station to explain the investments and works involving the node Brescia. The new RFI Infopoint was inaugurated today, Friday 28 October, in order to share updates on the progress of the works, the benefits for the mobility of the Lombardy and national network and the value in terms of sustainable transformation of the territory.
Located on platform 1 of the Brescia station and near the entrance to the city's underground station, the Infopoint was created with the support of Italferr e CREW, a company of the Infrastructure Pole of FS Group Italian.
RFI interventions on the Brescia node
The Brescia area is affected by numerous interventions "which will improve regional and national mobility, providing the possibility of accessing increasingly frequent and faster connections and redeveloping the territories crossed", explains a note from the Group. Among other things, in the Infopoint you can find information on new HS/HC Brescia Est-Verona line, under construction, on quadrupling at the Brescia east exit, in the final design phase, and on doubling Brescia-San Zeno-Ghedi, of which the technical-economic feasibility design is underway.
Strategic works, some of which are also financed with PNRR funds, for a total RFI investment of over 3,7 billion euro.
