FS Italiane Group, CEO Luigi Ferraris wins the 2022 Tiepolo Prize

Luigi Ferraris is the winner of Tiepolo Award 2022. The managing director of the FS Italiane Group will be honored with the prestigious recognition that since 1996 the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Spain and the Confederación Española de Organizaciones Empresariales have annually awarded to the most deserving personalities from Italy e Spain capable of distinguishing themselves for their commitment to contributing to the development and consolidation of economic and trade relations between the two countries.

La awards ceremony, this year in its twenty-fifth edition, will take place on Monday 12 December in Madrid, at the Italian Embassy, ​​seat of the diplomatic representation of the Italian Republic, led by Ambassador Riccardo Guariglia. Together with the Ad Ferraris it will also be awarded Joseph Bogas, managing director of Endesa SA, a leading company in the Spanish electricity sector and second largest operator on the electricity market in Portugal.

The Tiepolo Prize

The name of the recognition comes from the famous painter Giambattista Tiepolo who spent most of his life in Madrid, where he painted various frescoes for the Royal Palace and where he died in 1770. His career makes him a natural precursor of the excellent relations between Italy and Spain.

Trenitalia in Spain: it starts from 25 November

The recognition comes a few days after the debut, in Spain,Trenitalia high-speed train. From 25 November, the FS Italiane Group, through iryo, the subsidiary of Trenitalia in the Iberian Peninsula, will travel Frecciarossa 1000 from Madrid, Barcelona e Zaragoza. A few weeks later, from December 16, iryo will offer travel between Madrid, Valencia e Cuenca and, in the first quarter of 2023, the connection to the South will arrive in the cities of Seville, Malaga e Cordoba. In June 2023, the Frecciarossa 1000 will also reach Alicante e Albacete.
