GringoLocal, the new tourism in Brazil

GringoLocal: The name is a bit risky, since 'gringo' is a slightly derogatory term for (Northern) Americans. But the Brazilian start-up – GringoLocal, in fact – has no qualms. The services offered aim to connect tourists (many are Gringos) with the 'locals', with what the city of Rio (and other Brazilian locations) offers. By aggregating information from various sources, GringoLocal aims to connect tourists with the latest offers in package tours, restaurants, hotels and various entertainment, while also overcoming language barriers. With an update and a timeliness allowed by the online character and out of reach compared to the paper guides. For example, the start-up takes the offers of the local Groupon, translates them, converts the prices into dollars and makes everything available to the 'gringo', or at least English-speaking, tourist.

Is there such a service for a nation like Italy, which is much more visited than Brazil? Here is an example to follow.
