The much-heralded interview with Beppe Grillo on SkyTg24, scheduled for 20 pm yesterday, did not take place, despite the siege of all-news TV, which placed its cameras in front of the camper van of the leader of the 30 Star Movement. In fact, Grillo he announced his desertion in a rather terse tweet, triggering the reaction of Sky, who asked, and wondered, why the comedian and blogger "doesn't answer our questions?".
A question that was promptly answered through a short video published on Beppe Grillo's website, entitled "The differences", as a game of the Puzzle Week. In the video, about a minute in the middle, plaster cast images of the TV appearances of the other leaders opposing the charge of the Tsunami Tour are juxtaposed. Interspersed with some writing on a black background: “There are two ways to campaign. The former is served and revered in TV lounges perhaps with "sewn-on" broadcasts. We prefer the latter in the squares, among the people. Because politics belongs to the people”.
An official version all in all predictable, behind which, according to some, there would be the pressures of Casaleggio, who feared that a television appearance, with all its institutionality, could cause the Movement to lose the momentum gained in recent days, after the great success in Turin, in Piazza Castello. One decision, though. who has not failed to create divisions even within the base of the Movement, between those who say they are disappointed by such a choice, seeing it as a lost opportunity, and those who, on the other hand, unconditionally support the leader.
"Despite the commitment made and after announcing his return on TV on several occasions, the leader of the Movimento 5 Stelle lets it be known, for no obvious reason, that he will withdraw from the interview tonight", could be read on the Twitter profile of SkyTg24, before the television channel, again via Twitter, raised the level of the clash, publishing the questions that Beppe Grillo did not want to answer.

A situation bordering on the paradoxical, as often happens when we talk about Grillo. One of the many short circuits that feed his aura and his Movement, which aims to renew politics by bringing it back to an older form, a distant legacy full of contradictions: close to the people, perhaps, close to the squares, but away from any question or comparison.
