Go straight on the "right and inevitable" path of rigor in public finances, because, even if the situation has improved, "growth is still to be grasped". These are the words of Economy Minister Vittorio Grilli on the sidelines of the IMF meeting in Tokyo.
Grilli also spoke of the rather negative data from the International Monetary Fund on capital flight from Italy until June, asserting that "since July there has been an inverse movement, which has been reflected in the improvement in the spread".
On the stability law, then, Grilli declared himself available for dialogue, since it was a bill and not a decree. "We have given the objectives and the tools to achieve them in the way we think is best, then Parliament can modify it within the financial framework approved by Parliament itself with the update of the Def".
