Tim becomes technology partner for the digitization of Green Pea, the "Green retail" park dedicated to eco-sustainable purchases and born from an idea of the Farinetti family. The center will open in Turin, next to Eataly Lingotto, on December 8th.
As part of the initiative, Tim has developed a project "that uses the most advanced technologies for the management of spaces and commercial activities within Green Pea, with the aim of making it a place for multi-sensory interaction, learning and entertainment around the theme of sustainability,” the company explained in a statement. Tim will also be present inside the park with his own store created with natural, recycled or renewable materials, both for the furnishings and for the fittings.
The store will offer environmentally friendly services of Tim Green. These include refurbished smartphones, the new green SIM made with 60% recycled plastic and fully biodegradable packaging, modems and cordless phones that use recycled and recyclable materials and offers dedicated to Smart Homes and the Internet of Things.
The project also provides for the provision of ultrabroadband connectivity with a fiber optic network, 4G/5G mobile coverage, WiFi connections and cloud services for data management. "THE connectivity and cloud services will support a series of cutting-edge digital solutions, created in collaboration with Olivetti, the digital hub of the Tim group: applications for analyzing data – aggregated and anonymised, collected in compliance with privacy legislation – which will make it possible to monitor attendance flows and receive feedback on customer preferences, web reputation analysis with constantly updated information and latest generation cash registers” Tim underlines.
Finally, there will be inside the Green retail park multimedia totems for the transmission of information and advertising messages, advanced video surveillance systems and video conferencing solutions.
