Green economy, over 3.500 patents in Italy in 10 years

The Italian "genius" turns green more and more: in 10 years, the number of green made in Italy patents, published in Europe, has increased overall by 22%, thus representing 10% of the 3.645 patent applications registered in the 2015. Basically, these are more than 3.500 inventions registered between 2006 and 2015, which introduce innovations with a low environmental impact in the processes or products made.

As shown by the analysis carried out by Unioncamere-Dintec on the basis of the patents published by the European Patent Office (EPO), the medical and packaging sectors remain the sectors in which innovative capacity is exercised the most of companies, institutions and individual inventors of our country. In fact, they continue to occupy the first places in the ranking of Italian inventions in Europe by technological class.
