Greece, Samaras: "Agreement reached with Troika for new tranche of aid"

Il Government of Athens has reached an agreement with the Troika on the cuts and austerity measures to be adopted in exchange for the granting of a new tranche of aid. This was announced by Prime Minister Antonis Samaras: "We have concluded the negotiations on the measures and on the draft finance law for 2013".

Samaras then appealed to the sense of responsibility of parties and parliamentarians for the approval of the plan: "From now on the problem is what could happen if the agreement is not approved by Parliament because the country would go towards chaos. Such an eventuality would be very painful for the entire Greek people both from an economic point of view and even worse from a political point of view”.
