Greco brings the new three-pronged organization to the council tomorrow: Generali, Alleanza and Genertel

In tomorrow's board of directors, the new CEO Mario Greco will present the organizational strategy of the new Leone. In Trieste, according to what has emerged, the new team leader will deploy three points, led by the Generali brand, supported by Alleanza and Genertel, more specific by customer and distribution channels (respectively network of employee producers and web and telephone), on which will focus the recovery and investment plan. In short, it is a question of concentrating activities directly under the Generali brand, simplifying the group structure and placing the various networks at the service of the strongest and most well-known brand.

A move that can also be explained by the ongoing change in the competitive scenario: the sales that Unipol-Fonsai will have to carry out by September 2013 in order to comply with the obligations with the Antitrust promise to increase pressure on the funding and business profitability market, especially if they end up with a competitor of Axa's rank who is in the front row for the conquest of assets.

The new organization will also lead to a simplification in the next three years of the structure of the group and of the brands (with the disappearance of many of them). For the Messaggero in the next three years, the parent company will proceed to streamline the structure through the absorption of Ina Assitalia by pooling the life and non-life specializations while Fata, with a vocation in the agricultural world, will instead be enhanced: the two branches in Romania and Bulgaria could be reallocated as part of the Generali-Ppf joint venture. Finally Toro would be spun off from Alleanza as a business unit. At an international level, Greco would aim to strengthen its presence in Spain, France and Germany as well as in the new Europe where the alliance with Petr Kellner ensures penetration in 14 countries. The new three-year industrial plan will be presented on 14 January during the investor day in London. On the Stock Exchange Generali rises by 0,46% (+0,55% the Ftse Mib)
