Greece, on Friday the Eurogroup for the go-ahead for aid

Next Friday the Eurogroup will meet to approve the agreement on the new aid plan for Greece. This was announced by the Spanish premier, Mariano Rajoy, adding that next week the Iberian Parliament should vote on the go-ahead for the Greek bailout, which the majority of the Popolari are asking to approve.

"For the European Union it is an important new bet... we hope that with this provision the issue will be closed forever and normality will return", added Rajoy in reply to journalists.

The definitive go-ahead for the new bailout plan from 86 billion euros - the third intervention in five years - will have to be signed by August 20, when Athens will have to return 3,2 billion to the European Central Bank.

Meanwhile, a technical agreement was reached overnight on budgetary targets: Greece has set as a target a primary deficit (budget balance, excluding debt payments) by 0,25% in 2015 e a primary surplus by 0,5% in 2016, by 1,75% in 2017 and by 3,5% in 2018. The government source also specified that no new fiscal measures will be needed during this period.
