The parties will try to reach a compromise on the reform path of Athens within the Eurogroup on Monday – The president of the ECB Supervisory Board Danièle Nouy: “We are ready to intervene on the Greek banking system”.

La Greece and creditors they are looking for a new compromise, putting to the test, from a political point of view, the agreement reached last summer for the third bailout plan. In fact, Athens is waiting to receive the two billion in aid envisaged for October, but the funds will not be disbursed before the review of the implementation of the reforms.

Although, according to various sources, the reform path put in place by the Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras and by the finance minister Euclid Tsakalos is "later than planned", the hope is to find an agreement byEurogroup next Monday.

Still on the Greek front, the spotlights of the single European supervision are focused on the country's banking system, which was followed very closely during the summer. To say it is Daniele Nouy, chairman of the ECB Supervisory Board, announcing: "We have prepared for supervisory intervention if necessary".

“One of the main challenges this year – continued Nouy – was to adequately respond to our role in the Greek crisis”. According to the president of the Supervisory Board "it is our duty to ensure that Greek banks are stable and solid because only a healthy banking system can play a positive role when the Greek economy gets back on track".

In addition to this, the Supervisory Authority has defined the recapitalization need of each of the most important Greek financial institutions: "The Single Supervisory Mechanism - concluded Nouy - will play its part in ensuring that the recapitalization is completed on time".
