Greece, Schaeuble skeptical of agreement today in the Eurogroup

A deal on Greek debt is rather unlikely. This was stated by the German Finance Minister, Wolfgang Schaeuble who, referring to the possibility of reaching an agreement on Greece in the Eurogroup which will meet today in Brussels, said he was "very skeptical". The German minister also accused the Greek government of acting "irresponsibly".

Greece, in fact, is trying to reach a new agreement relating to a refinancing program that could allow the country to emerge from austerity, but the other 18 members of the Eurozone will hardly find an agreement in this regard: "It seems to me a great poker game of the new government”, continued Schaeuble, according to which Athens is trying to deny the commitments made with its European partners.

Regarding the possibility of Greece leaving the Euro, the German minister, very irritated by the insults received by the Greek press, commented lapidary: “You should ask my Greek colleagues. It's not what we want. But Greece must do the minimum”.

The skepticism about the possibility of an agreement is also testified by the Athens Stock Exchange, which, after the recovery of the last few days, opened in a decisive decline, dropping more than 4% in the morning, while the ten-year yield climbs back to the 9,5 area %
