Greece, on Wednesday the Eurogroup decides on aid

Without the new 31,5 billion tranche of aid, the Greek coffers will remain short of liquidity by the end of November - The possibility of granting Antonis Samaras' executive a two-year extension (from 2014 to 2016) on the deadline within which to complete the structural reforms and repay the deficit.

Greece, on Wednesday the Eurogroup decides on aid

Eurozone finance ministers will meet by teleconference Wednesday 31 October to discuss forthcoming aid to Greece, in the light of negotiations between the government in Athens and the Troika (ECB, IMF and EU). This was announced by Simon O'Connor, the spokesman for Economic and Monetary Affairs Commissioner Olli Rehn.

Without the new tranche of aid worth 31,5 billion, Greek coffers will run out of liquidity by the end of November.

The possibility of granting Antonis Samaras's executive is also being studied a two-year extension (from 2014 to 2016) on the deadline within which to complete the structural reforms and repay the deficit.

The postponement should cost an additional 20 to 30 billion euros: an increase that could create problems internationally, despite the extent of the increase "not being dramatic", according to some European sources quoted by Agence France Presse.

It seems instead excluding a new restructuring of Greek government bonds, even if the Greek public debt continues to cause concern: in fact, the objective of reducing GDP to 120% by 2020, a threshold from which the International Monetary Fund does not intend to retreat, seems out of reach.
