Head to head between the conservatives of New Democracy, in favor of austerity in the pro-euro memorandum, and the extreme left of Syriza which, while wanting to remain in the euro, rejects the austerity programs and thus paves the way for a return to the drachma . The pro-euro Conservatives appear to have the advantage (30,5% against 25%) even if an alliance will be needed to form a government between New Democracy and Pasok socialists which are collecting, based on a third of the votes scrutinized, about 13%.
