Greece, Dijsselbloem: "Victory No would be disaster"

According to the president of the Eurogroup, a victory for the anti-euro front would be a disaster for Greece and for Europe and would make negotiations particularly complicated – Lagarde says Athens: “More adult behavior would be necessary”.

Greece, Dijsselbloem: "Victory No would be disaster"

If the "no" wins in next Sunday's Greek referendum, the situation for Athens and for Europe would become "very difficult". This was said by the president of the Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who also denied the possibility that an eventual victory of the anti-euro front could in any way strengthen Greece's position in the negotiations.

In this way Dijsselbloem, who said he was optimistic about the fact that the majority of the Greek people might want to stay in the Euro, also responded to yesterday's statements by Greek Prime Minister Tsipras, who yesterday said that voting "no" in the referendum would helped Greece obtain more advantageous terms in the negotiations.

Meanwhile the director general of the IMF Christine Lagarde he continues to lash out at Greece: "Given the level of uncertainty, confusion and constant movement, I think a slightly more adult behavior would be necessary," said the French economist during an interview with CNN International.

Already in recent weeks Lagarde had not spared sharp criticism of the leaders of Syriza, defining them, more or less explicitly, as children. For the director general of the IMF, the Greek problem must be resolved in such a way as not to give rise to thoughts according to which Greece may have received a "special treatment".
