In the night just past the Greece and creditors have reached a "technical agreement in principle", but discussions on some details continue and there is still no political agreement. This was announced by a spokeswoman for the European Commission, Annika Breidthardt.
The statement comes on the sidelines of Greece's announcement of the achievement of an agreement on budget targets between now and 2018 in view of the green light for the third aid plan for the country, which must arrive by 20 June, the day on which debts with the ECB for 3,2 billion euros expire.
“At this stage what we have is an agreement at a technical level. We don't have a political agreement at the moment and that's what we need,” the spokeswoman said.
