Ukrainian wheat: first agreement to unblock Odessa but Russia hammers Donbass

Maybe something is moving to unlock the Ukrainian wheat. According to the Russian newspaper Izvestia and also reported by the Ukrainian press, Moscow, Kiev and Turkey would have agreed on an initial agreement, albeit limited to the port of Odessa, to favor the exit of Ukrainian ships with grain for export. In this framework, Turkey should act as mediator and guarantor of the agreement, both because it will be committed to demining the Sea of Azov and because it will then have to escort the Ukrainian ships until they reach neutral waters where they will meet the Russian ships which will escort them until Bosphorus channel.

Russian storm over Donbass: possible withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the "dead cities"

It will be better understood in the next few hours if the hypothesis of understanding for wheat can finally take off and possibly extend to the other ports of the Ukrainian coast but the tension between Moscow e Kiev remains very high, not only because the Ukrainians accuse the Russians of stealing their grain but because the Russian bombing in Donbass they have become asphyxiating. The Russians have intensified the siege of the city of Severodonetsk and continue to fire missiles at the nearby cities of Slovyansk, Lysychansk and Orikhove.

Even Ukrainian President Zelensky had to admit that for Ukraine the situation on the military field has become very difficult. In Severodonetsk the Ukrainian forces "hold their positions" but - Zelensky acknowledged - the Russian soldiers "are more numerous and stronger".

The Ukrainian command will soon decide what to do in the face of the disaster of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, now considered "dead cities". The same Zelensky did not rule out that a decision could be reached withdraw Ukrainian troops in areas where the battle on the military field now appears compromised for Kiev.
