The board of directors of Ferrovie dello Stato has definitively approved the demerger of Grandi Stazioni. The structure of the operation provides for the subdivision of the activities currently located in Grandi Stazioni, with the creation of two new companies and the change of name of Grandi Stazioni SpA: Grandi Stazioni Retail, focused on the typically commercial activities of the network stations - including the two stations in the Czech Republic – in particular on commercial leases, Media&Advertising and traveler services, identified as the company to be privatized.
Grandi Stazioni Rail (today Grandi Stazioni), focused on infrastructural activities and the completion of the investment plan, to ensure control of the key station businesses for travelers and all those who work there: security, cleaning and maintenance, ticket offices railway operators, parking management, management leasing and engineering activities. Grandi Stazioni Immobiliare, focused on the enhancement of owned properties currently held by Grandi Stazioni.
