Government, today a surprise Grillo from Renzi, who also sees Berlusconi and Pd: Bernabè rises for the Treasury

There is never a shortage of surprises in government consultations. The most unexpected is the one that comes from the 5 Star Movement which clamorously rejects Beppe Grillo online and pushes him to a meeting with Matteo Renzi who will receive him today during the consultations which will also see Silvio Berlusconi and the Democratic Party on stage.

It's not a recent novelty, but no less is the other that is taking shape in these hours: that which concerns the leadership of the very delicate ministry of the Economy, on which the success or otherwise of the future Renzi government will largely depend. After the many rumors circulating in recent days, Renzi's idea, who yesterday said he wanted a team of his own for the government, is to entrust the keys to the department in via XX Settembre to a supermanager with proven political sensitivity and also welcome at the Quirinal. The name that seems to garner the greatest support for the economy is that of the former president of Telecom and former CEO of Eni, Franco Bernabè.

Once the problem of the economy has been resolved, the formation of the list of ministers, which Renzi expects to present by Saturday, will become easier and we will return to talking about programmes. In this regard, yesterday Angelino Alfano asked Renzi to avoid imbalances to the left, to strictly exclude the property, to correct the Jobs Act and to choose a guarantor for Justice.

Berlusconi, who will see Renzi today before the premier's meeting in pectore with the Pd, will instead insist on institutional reforms and for the Italicum in the first instance and will promise a responsible opposition.

If sudden difficulties do not arise, Italy will have a new government within the week led by the youngest Prime Minister in the history of the Republic.
