Gentiloni government, here are the ministers: Alfano-Foreign, Minniti-Interior, Boschi-Palazzo Chigi

Paolo Gentiloni has risen to the Quirinale and has dissolved the reserve by officially accepting to form a new government. The Premier has also announced the team of ministers who will make up his Executive. The swearing-in is scheduled for tonight at 20.00

The Ala Group led by Denis Verdini marched off at the last minute, announcing that tomorrow it will not vote for confidence in the new government "without Ala-Sc representation". "We will not vote for confidence in a government intent on maintaining a status quo", reads the joint note signed by Denis Verdini and Enrico Zanetti.

But Gentiloni goes straight: “I don't hide the difficulties of the moment, but Politics must know how to deal with them. We will move in the footsteps of the Renzi government and to facilitate understanding between the political forces in order to define the new rules for the elections”.

"The government - continues the new Prime Minister" - will immediately get to work with all its strength concentrated on the problems to be solved in the country with the optimism that comes from the Italian people".

Returning to the government team, all the most important ministers of the Renzi government remain in place, including Marianna Madia and Giuliano Poletti. Pier Carlo Padoan (Economics), Carlo Calenda (Economic Development), Roberta Pinotti (Defence), Beatrice Lorenzin (Health), Andrea Orlando (Justice), Graziano Delrio (Transport) and Dario Franceschini (Culture) remain in office. Gianluca Galletti remains in the Ambiente and the hypothesis of a replacement with Ermete Realacci sets. Boschi remains in the Executive, but becomes undersecretary to the Prime Minister.

Angelino Alfano moves from the Interior Ministry to the Farnesina
, where he will take the place that until a few days ago belonged to Premier Gentiloni. The guidance of the Ministry of the Interior instead passes into the hands of Marco Minniti (PD). Born in Calabria in 56, Minniti has a long political career behind him: a former leader of the Democrats of the Left, he was undersecretary of state at the Presidency of the Council (D'Alema government I and II), undersecretary at the Ministry of Defense (Amato government II ) and Deputy Minister of the Interior (Prodi II Government). Under the Letta government he held his role, undersecretary to the Prime Minister with responsibility for the secret services, a position he also held in the almost three years of Renzi's Executive.

Ad Anna Finocchiaro the role that until a few days ago was entrusted to Maria Elena Boschi will go. Relations with Parliament will be in his hands, while the delegation to reforms disappears given that constitutional reform is no longer on the agenda. She was minister for equal opportunities during the Prodi government, from 2008 to 19 March 2013 she was group leader in the Senate of the Democratic Party, of which she is one of the founders. On 7 May 2013 she was elected President of the Constitutional Affairs Commission, a position confirmed in January of the current year thanks to the votes of Pd, Ncd and Ala.

Valeria Faithful, Senator of the Democratic Party and Vice-President of the Senate has received the leadership of the Ministry of Education, University and Research, taking the place of Stefania Giannini. Former undersecretary Lotti the leadership of the ministry (without portfolio) for Sport. Claudio De Vincenti will be Minister of Territorial Cohesion and Southern Italy.
