Google ready to sell auto insurance in the US

Google is ready to enter the US auto insurance industry with a website where consumers can compare prices and purchase policies. The "Google Compare Auto Insurance Services" service, in fact, has obtained the license to sell insurance in 26 states on behalf of six insurance groups.

According to various sources, Google has received authorization to sell policies through the CoverHound site and many other rumors are following one another in this sense. Getting into the insurance market was a strategy Google had been working on for years: in Idaho, for example, Google has been licensed to sell policies since August 2013.

The problems that the Mountain View giant could face are above all resistance from insurance companies, certainly unwilling to share information that could help Google in the future, but also a squeeze by the Authority on the group, especially in Europe, where the group has just had a rather complicated season.
