Google and Ford: the agreement for the self-driving car is close

Google is close to teaming up with Ford to build a self-driving car and bring it to market in a few years. According to the futuristic independent project Google car is able to circulate on the streets without a human driver. Automotive News reports.

If the agreement between the Internet giant and the car giant is confirmed, the announcement will come in January. The robot vehicle would be marketable by 2020.

Ford with the alliance with Google will have access to software development, making a clear step forward compared to the developments in this field could achieve by itself.

In turn, the deal would instead allow Google to save billions of dollars to acquire the manufacturing experience necessary to produce cars. If the promises are kept, the automotive world is preparing for a sparkling start to 2016 to say the least.
