Google further cuts the staff outside the United States of the subsidiary Motorola Mobility, shouldering costs related to the layoffs for 390 million dollars. The Mountain View giant announced in August it would cut about 4.000 jobs at Motorola three months after buying the handset maker, while also closing or consolidating a third of the company's 90 offices.
Approximately $300 million in severance charges will affect Google's third-quarter balance sheet. The group will also spend 90 million dollars through 2013 for plant closures.
