The two Goodyear managers of the Amiens plant in northern France have been freed. This was reported by the AFP agency, specifying that the managers were held inside the plant for 30 hours by the employees and the CGT union, to then leave escorted by the police. The CGT has announced the occupation of the site.
The plant has been at the center of a bitter dispute between the company and union representatives for months, since the 1.173 workers risk being fired: the company's top management has formalized the start of the decommissioning of a plant which, according to their data, generates losses of over 60 million euros a year.
