Last appointments for the European Tour, before the Final Series, the rich and exciting end-of-season tournaments (from 29 October to 22 November): this week, from today to Sunday, the British Masters takes place, a competition with a higher prize pool to 4 million euros and three Italians in the field, Francesco Molinari, Matteo Manassero and Marco Crespi.

Molinari he hasn't played since the Italian Open, where he appeared a bit tired on the greens, but he's still back from a great season in the USA and hopefully he still has some breath to round off the European season on a high note, given that blue has the card of both circuits.

Manasseh, unfortunately he is still in crisis: he missed ten consecutive cuts and his star has faded a lot this year. After breaking so many records, this splendid young player is closing a black year, which should at least serve as an incentive for those to come. He is only 22 and the world belongs to him.

The budget is also red for Marco Crespi, who has to play well if he doesn't want to go back to qualifying and play again next year on the main circuit.

The road to Woburn Golf Club, in Woburn, England, however, is uphill for everyone, in fact the competitors are "tough". Just to name a few we mention: Graeme McDowell and Darren Clarke, Ian Poulter, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood and Danny Willett, Robert Karlsson, Padraig Harrington, Jamie Donaldson, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Thomas Bjorn and Thorbjorn Olesen.

The tournament is broadcast live on Sky Sports.
