The PGA Tour moves today to Louisiana, on the Avondale course, for the Zurich Classic, where Korean Seung-Yul Noh defends the title won last year. The European tour instead remains in China for the Volvo China Open along the Tomson Shanghai Pudong track. Four Italians in the field in the country of the great wall: Edoardo Molinari, Matteo Manassero, Renato Paratore and Marco Crespi, back from fourth place last weekend. About 3 million euros are up for grabs, just over 500 thousand euros of first coin.

In Italy, on Sky Sport, starting tonight, we will only see the US tournament, which boasts a good field, with three players in the world's top ten: Jason Day (number 6), Dustin Jhonson (7) and the English Justine Rose (9). The big names, on the other hand, rest waiting to take up the irons next week for the match play world championship or, the following week, for The Players, the so-called fifth major.

This does not mean that the match is without good names, on the contrary, the players are of an excellent level and in the absence of Rory McIlroy or Jordan Spieth they have a better chance of winning. We point out, among others, Keegan Bradley, Rickie Fowler, Billy Horschel, Jonas Blixt, Jamie Donaldson, Retief Goosen.

Steve Stricker is making his second appearance of the season after the Masters and having undergone back surgery last December to relieve a pinched nerve; he will be chasing his 6,9th career title. The prize pool is $1,242 million, $156 million for the former. The contest is between 72 players, on a par 6700 course of approximately XNUMX meters.
