The fear that Tiger Woods has become glass begins to insinuate itself among its fans. The champion, who now wins little, but is still the hero of all golfers in the world, misses the Arnold Palmer Invitational in Orlando, Florida, with a neck injury sustained last week and from which he has not yet recovered. “I tried to recover – tweeted Tiger – but unfortunately I didn't make it. I hope to be ready for the next Players Championship”. And we would also miss him saying goodbye to a very important tournament like The Players, the so-called fifth major. Unfortunately, however, it is feared that the story of broken promises will start again, made more to sell tickets than to make competitions. Very little is known about this neck ache, but disturbing patches were seen appearing under Tiger's shirts in the last few appearances. In short, let's hope well for his season and for the circuit.

From today to Sunday the Italian public can at least benefit from the presence of Francesco Molinari, who returns to the race at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge for the challenge in memory of the great Arnold, the champion who died in 2016. The names are all prestigious, starting with the defender of the title, the Northern Irish Rory McIlroy, world number six. There are also Justin Rose, who slipped to number 2 in the ranking after the recent victory of Dustin Johnson (rested), Brooks Koepka (n. 3), Bryson DeChambeau (n. 5), Rickie Fowler (n. 7) and, like said, our Molinari, number 10.

The Turinese is at his third start in 2019 and he finished 17th at the WGC Mexico Championship, giving concrete signs that he is on the path to better condition. The prize pool is $9,1 million. To see the challenge in human times you need to connect to GOLFTV, streaming platform made by Discovery.
