Goldman Sachs: “The Cricket factor is a real problem for the EU”

The EU's biggest problem at the moment is the “cricket factor”. To say it is Jim O'Neill, president of Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Not the spread, and not even the complex rather than bailout of Cyprus: “The most interesting story is the Grillo factor in Italy. I don't understand how the hard guys in the North aren't thinking about this issue."

“Italy – says O'Neill – is the third largest economy in the Eurozone, and if it doesn't start to see some growth soon, they will begin to wonder what are the benefits of permanence of the euro“. The question to ask, for O'Neill is the following: "What is the EU doing to address this problem?".
