The USA and Draghi give stock exchanges a boost

Stock markets accelerate after Draghi's words, who confirmed his intention to pursue an "even more accommodating" monetary policy and to launch unconventional measures - Better than expected data from the US labor market: the Dow Jones breaks through for the first time the wall of 17 thousand points vaults – Mediaset does well on the Ftse Mib, Fincantieri flat.

Mario Draghi's words and the nice surprises on the labor front in the United States give oxygen to the stock exchanges. In the early afternoon Business Square consolidates the gains (+0,83%), as well as the other main European lists: London + 0,66% Paris +0,88% and Frankfurt +0,98%. Even more enthusiasm a Wall Street, where at the beginning the index Dow Jones it reached 17 points for the first time (17.015,92, +0,29%). The Nasdaq (+0,35%) and the S&P500 index (+0,29%) also performed well.

Today the president of the European Central Bank confirmed its intention to continue in the coming months an “even more accommodative” monetary policy and he announced that the Governing Council is unanimously in favor of the use of unconventional expansionary measures.

"The ECB will take new measures, if necessary, to combat too long a period of low inflation," Draghi reiterated, stating that the European Central Bank will closely monitor the repercussions on geopolitical developments and those of the euro exchange rate.  

Before Draghi's press conference, Eurotower had confirmed the reference rate of the Eurozone to 0,15%, the historic low reached last month with the latest reduction. The rate on marginal refinancing operations (0,40%) and the rate with which the ECB pays the deposits it holds on behalf of commercial banks (-0,10%) also remained unchanged.

The other factor that determined the turnaround on the price lists in the afternoon is related to US labor market. US companies created significantly more jobs than expected in June, while the unemployment rate dropped to its lowest since September 2008. 

In detail, there were 288 new jobs, against the 215 expected by analysts. This was communicated by the Labor Department, specifying that the unemployment rate fell to 6,1%, while analysts expected an unchanged figure of 6,3%.

Markit also said the US services PMI rose to 61 points last month, from 58,1 in May. This is the third increase in the last four months and the highest growth in output since October 2009.

As for the individual securities of the Ftse Mib, the best rise is that of Mediaset (+3,87%). Triggering the wave of purchases on the Alfa stock (which had already gained 2,5% yesterday) are the anticipations according to which the Italian group and Telefonica are now close to reaching an agreement on the Spanish Digital+.

Also in the light Finmeccanica (+ 2,5%) and Saipem (+2,4%) after the managing director Mauro Moretti announced the presentation within the year of a completely renewed industrial plan

Smooth debut for the title Fincantieri, which remains tied to the takeover bid price (0,78 euro). Yet another marked increase, however, for Fineco, which jumped by 4,6% on the second day of trading, after the +8,1% of its debut.

They travel at the end of the main price list Banco Popolare (-1,19%), Enel (-0,91%), Snam (-0,76%) And Tod'S (-0,60%).
