On July 1, 2013 Christie's London presents the sale of the furnishings of an Italian villa "La Rosa di Montecchia" with a catalog of 213 lots. Paintings, objects, furnishings from the 700th to the XNUMXth century of a Lombard holiday residence near Lake Como, known under the name "Rosa di Montecchia" on the hills of Montecchia where roses bloom luxuriantly in the gardens of the villas in the area. The villa was bought in the mid-XNUMXth century by an English aristocrat who wanted to make it a prestigious residence, taking care of every detail with great refinement which fascinated many of his guests. Today the villa is owned by a publisher of "luxury fashion".
