Writing and producing works to bring the environment on TV can be a good boost to the diffusion of ecological themes. For young authors between 18 and 30 years old who write short films, subjects of series or feature films the Ministry of Ecological Transition put online the competition notice "Screen in green”. To promote the themes within writing for television, but also for cinema, three categories have been created in the competition. The The deadline for participation is February 28th.

The goal is to introduce green content into productions, for which the focus is on the vast fiction market. A cross-cutting objective both for the conception and for the creation and putting on the Net of works that raise awareness for challenges that have become epochal. Many authors and directors have been grappling with these themes for some time, which have captured the interest of the younger generations. In the Italian competition the works will be evaluated by a jury of professionals who will choose the winners for each category. The best scripts will then be proposed to audiovisual producers for production.

The contest is made by Foundation Sardegna Film Commission with the support of the Solinas Award and will be promoted together with Green Cross Italia. Thanks to its novelty, Screen in green - explains MITE - is part of the various education and information initiatives on the ecological transition. Each competitor can participate with a maximum of 1 project for each category. No limits to creativity, so works of any genre can be presented: comedy, science fiction, thriller, horror, noir, as long as they are original, unpublished subjects written in Italian. To also protect the originality of the young authors, the call requires that each competitor be the exclusive owner of the intellectual property of the proposed work. In addition, projects taken from literary texts, even if unpublished, by a different author or who have already participated in previous competitions and festivals are not admitted. Projects already under construction are also not eligible. The environment on TV can turn into this a new artistic vein with emerging authors.
