The former president of Napoli and founder of Telemarket, George Corbelli, was arrested and taken to prison in Brescia to serve a sentence, which has become definitive, inflicted by the Court of Milan for tax crimes related to the crash of Finarte, an auction house listed on the Stock Exchange and went bankrupt in 2012. This was revealed by the Giornale di Brescia.

Altogether Corbelli must serve four years and a month in detention but his lawyer aims to obtain a review of the prison regime shortly, reports Ansa.

Corbelli was already serving another sentence under house arrest and a will soon face a new trial. This time the headquarters will be in Naples where the judges of the Court of Appeal will have to rule on the bankruptcy of the football club in 2004. The entrepreneur had taken over the majority stake in Naples in 2000, also becoming its president. Previously he had been president of Basket Brescia and of the Forlì team. From 2002 to 2008 he was patron of Olimpia Milano, before the beginning of the Armani era.
