On the heels of its three consecutive 100% sold online jewelery sales in the past two months, Sotheby's Hong Kong presents auction Magnificent Jewels taking place on July 10, 2020 at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, which marks the return of live jewelery auctions in Asia.

With over 200 lots, Magnificent Jewels will showcase sophisticated curation of world-class gemstones and trend-setting designer jewelry, led by a pair of exceptionally rare Fancy Vivid Colored Diamond Rings (to be offered separately): a Fancy Vivid Pink and a Fancy Vivid Blue 4,49 carats and 5,04 carats respectively, both cut into charming heart shapes. (a 5,04-carat, Type IIb fancy vivid blue diamond ring (estimated US$7.700.000 – 9.700.000) and a 4,49-carat, internally flawless, fancy vivid pink diamond (estimated US$7.500.000 – 8.800.000)

A symbol of love and affection, the shape of the heart is the embodiment of strong emotions and among the rarest and most difficult shapes for diamonds to cut.

The luxury houses' iconic creations include a glamorous pair of Colombian emerald and diamond earrings by Harry Winston ($12.000.000 – 15.000.000 / $1.550.000 – 1.940.000), Van Cleef's famous “Zip” necklace & Arpels ($2.400.000 – 3.500.000 / HK$310.000) 451.000), an art deco brooch by Cartier from its famous Tutti Frutti series (HK$1,200,000 – 1,600,000 / US$155,000 – 207,000), and an eclectic range of Panthère design of the brand that adapts to any occasion.

Celebrating the resurgence of jadeite on the market, the sale also features a selection of the finest jadeite jewelry with gem quality that meets world-class standards and timeless designs that transcend cultural boundaries.
