Commenting on the auction, Lollobrigida states: “I was a lucky woman, as an actress, as a mother, as a photojournalist, as an ambassador for FAO and also as an artist. I started collecting Bulgari jewels in the 50s and 60s, fascinated by the magnificent craftsmanship and style of these jewels which have accompanied me on many trips, both for work and privately, and which retain the scent of those times and the extraordinary people I met. known along the way….I can contribute to a cause that is close to my heart, that of stem cell research, a treatment that I strongly believe should be guaranteed free of charge to all children. It is therefore my wish that the proceeds from the auction go towards the construction of an international hospital for stem cell research”.
