This was announced by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, specifying that last month the jobless stood at 2,71 million units, or 6,2% less than a year ago, while the active population is meanwhile increased by 0,2% to 63,21 million.
Still in October, the labor market showed a slight contraction: with 80 job offers registered against 100 positions offered, against 81 in September. In the Land of the Rising Sun, unemployment had reached a record rate of 5,7% during the recession that hit it in 2008-09.
