Japan, Doshisha Business School offers an International MBA

Doshisha Business School has launched a new MBA program titled “Global Business and Management Studies”. Open to students from over 20 countries, the new program at Japan's oldest and most prestigious university was created to prepare future leaders for an increasingly dynamic global economy.

To celebrate the launch, the university has invited celebrities, such as Marc Lesser, chief executive officer of the "Search Inside Yourself Leadership" program developed by Google, various executive coaches, and even a Zen monk who gave a speech on the challenges ahead operators in the business world. For his part, Lesser explained how effective training must be capable of developing both logic and creativity. Furthermore, Lesser explained again, entrepreneurs must establish sustainable businesses that provide real value to the community.

MBA director Mari Kondo said: "Our program aims to cultivate the skills necessary to tackle increasingly complex and dynamic tasks."

Doshisha University president Koji Murata added that the program complies with the institute's founding principle of providing "education with a conscience."

As an addition to Doshisha's business school program, taught only in English, and focused on sustainability, the new MBA asks students to look beyond normal business practices. Students will not only cover topics typical of an MBA, but will study in depth topics such as sustainability and green business, culture and creativity, and business in Asia. Admissions to the program will start on December XNUMXst.
