The growth of industrial production in Germany in February was therefore clearly lower than the forecasts of analysts who expected an increase of 0,8%. The Ministry of Economy therefore revised the January figure downwards: no longer a growth of 0,6% but a contraction of 0,4%.
The average production of the first two months of the year, however notes the Ministry of Economy, remains above the good performance of the last quarter of 2014. Hence the expectation of a positive figure for the first quarter of this year .
