Producer prices down in Germany in July, confirming the deflationary trend, not only in terms of final consumption, but also in terms of production. A trend that has repeatedly been strongly denied by German policymakers, in particular the number one of the Bundesbank Jens Weidman. The figure, released by the German Federal Statistical Office Destatis, in fact marked a negative change of 0,1% compared to the previous month, after remaining almost stable in June. The figure is below the expectations of analysts who indicated an increase of 0,1%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, prices recorded a decrease of 0,8% after the -0,7% of the previous month and consensus estimates.
