Germany, GDP growth forecasts still revised downwards

As already predicted by the International Monetary Fund, Germany, the leading European economy, will see its growth slow down between 2012 and 2013. Overwhelmed by the international crisis, which will see the GDP of almost all the countries of the Eurozone, Italy first and foremost, decrease at least for the next 15 months, even Berlin has scaled back its forecasts: this is reported by the daily Handelsblatt, which cites the major German economic research institutes.

According to the four main institutes in fact Germany's GDP will grow by 0,8% this year (0,9% the previous outlook) and by 1% in 2013, compared to the 2% initially estimated. Official data, according to which the unemployment rate will continue to fall, are expected to be released tomorrow.
