Germany: 2015 GDP up 1,7%, the highest since 2012

The statistical institute has released the estimate: growth at the highest level in four years for the locomotive of Europe. Domestic consumption is growing

Germany: 2015 GDP up 1,7%, the highest since 2012

GDP growth in Germany, according to preliminary estimates, was 1,7% in 2015, compared to +1,5% in 2014. This was communicated by the national statistical institute.

In 2013 the German GDP had grown by 0,3%, in 2012 by 0,4%. With the same calendar, growth in 2015 stops at 1,5%, with a slight slowdown, therefore, compared to 2014 (+1,6%): this is because the number of days worked in 2015 is higher than that of 'last year. In 2015, according to the statistical institute, the consumption expenditure of German families grew by 1,9% compared to 2014, while that of the Government increased by 2,8%. Exports of goods and services grew by 5,4% in value during the year, imports by 5,7%. The public accounts surplus stood at 2015% in 0,5 against 0,3% in 2014.
