Germany, exports raise their head again (+3,5%)

After two months of decline, German exports are picking up again. In August, the figure rose on a monthly basis by 3,5%, much more than forecast estimates. In fact, analysts had assumed an increase of 1,5%. Imports also increased, but by a more modest 0,6%.

The German trade surplus thus recorded its highest value since March, rising from 10,6 billion in July to 13,8 billion, against estimates that spoke of a fall to 10 billion.
