The crisis spares no one, least of all the Germans. This is what emerges from asurvey carried out by DeutschlandTrend for the public television Ard, according to which in and around Berlin there is growing concern about the consequences of the recession that is affecting the entire eurozone.
In particular, the survey shows that beyond one in three Germans (53%) strongly fears that the crisis will have repercussions on their income, while only 16% are convinced that they will be spared. Not only that: 78% of those interviewed believe that the worst is yet to come, while even 55% believe that it would have been preferable for Germany to keep the Deutschemark as its national currency.
However, according to the DeutschlandTrend survey, 70% of them think that in the end the euro will survive the crisis and continue to exist in the coming years. Finally, the implacable judgment on Greece: 83%, almost a plebiscite, mercilessly express that if Athens does not respect its commitments, it will have to leave the eurozone.
