Clear improvement for German investor confidence.
The Zew index recorded a leap forward in December from 11,5 points to 34,9, largely exceeding the estimates of analysts, who had forecast a much more contained growth of around 19 points. This is the highest level reached by the index since May.
The index on the current situation in Germany also exceeded expectations, passing from 3,3 points in November to 10 in December, against a consensus of 5,4.
