Leap to highs in over a year of investor confidence in Germany. In March the index elaborated by the research company Call it improved for the fifth consecutive month, to 54,8 points, 1,8 points higher than the previous month and a 13-month high. However, the figure was lower than the expectations of analysts who expected an index value of 58,2 points.

The Zew index referring to confidence in the current conditions of the German country's economy rose to 55,1 points from 45,5 points (consensus 50 points). The confidence index relating to expectations on the Euroland economy rose to 62,4 points from 52,7 points.
