Germany, PMI index exceeds expectations

The climate of confidence in economic activity in Germany returns to positive. Good above all the PMI index (which measures the expectations of purchasing managers) on industry, which drops to 50,9 points from 48,4 in December, returning above the fateful threshold of 50 points, which marks the boundary between expansion and recession. Analyst estimates stopped at 49 points.

Beyond expectations too the PMI index on services, which settled at 54,5 points, from 52,4 in December, against estimates for 52,5. The data it includes manufacturing and services it rose to 54,0 from 51,3 in December, the highest since June.
