Germany: Unemployment still down to 6,7%

The unemployment rate keep going down. Obviously the country we are talking about is not Italy but the Germany. In fact, the data that speak of a March where it was recorded comes from Berlin a new all-time low, falling to 6,7% against 6,8% in February 2012. A figure that exceeds even the best expectations of analysts, who were aiming for a substantial confirmation of the previous month's rate.

In absolute terms, this figure is equivalent to a drop of 18 units which adds to the -3 recorded in February. At a non-seasonally adjusted level, the unemployment rate in Germany fell from 7,4% to 7,2%. In numbers, to date the number of unemployed is equal to 3,028 million units.

Certainly encouraging data, which however are the subject of numerous criticisms. In fact, many are thinking that these data are not faithful to reality. Critics argue that unemployment statistics do not account for those earning very low wages for small public service jobs.
