The climate of confidence among German companies worsens. To certify it is the relative Ifo index, which in June settled at an altitude of 107,4 points compared to the 108,5 points recorded in March. The expectations of analysts were disappointed, as they had predicted a more contained drop in the index to 108,1.
Both the component on expectations and that on current conditions were down. The sub-index on expectations, in fact, stood at 102 points, below the consensus at 102,5, while that on current conditions dropped to 113,1 points against analysts' forecasts, according to which the index it would have stood at 114,1 points.
