Germany: sharp slowdown in industrial orders, -3,9% in January

Sudden slowdown for German industrial orders. According to data released by the Ministry of the Economy, in fact, orders experienced a drop of 3,9% on a monthly basis in January, marking the sharpest drop since last August.

A figure that disappointed the expectations of analysts, who had estimated a smaller drop of 1%, and that casts doubts on the beginning of 2015 of the German economy, which was seen as growing again. The December figure, on the other hand, was revised upwards by 4,4%, from a preliminary 4,2%.
